Now, do an illustration in the floor using the darker and lighter pennies for the shadows and highlights; that would be impressive.
Ah, hell, that's pretty cool just the way it is.
It would probably be a total pain, but if the copper could be exposed instead of encased in goo, I would think it would have plenty of grip because of all the edges, plus, it would exhibit wear patterns after a while.
