Trunk sheet metal piece needed

Hey All:
I'm starting a bare metal restoration on a 1972 1.7 914 and had acquired a nice straight rust free car, but as I started the disassemble, I found that the dreaded PO had cut out a piece of the rear trunk floor to acess the starter. Go figure! While I can buy a new truck pan, as I had said, it is a pretty nice dry car with almost no rust and I'm wondering if anyone has a parts car that they could cut me a patch out of? My welding skills are pretty good and I think I can weld a patch in and grind out the seams easier than replacing the whole panel. While I did get a nice new starter out of this, I'd rather have had a solid trunk floor and had to replace the starter. The engine/trans (does run) are coming out for a full rebuild anyway and the plan is for a concourse car. The area cut out is about 6" x 9", he did a nice straight cut but REALLY???? I have a FedEx account and I believe the part could go in a regular FedEx envelope. Obviously, I'm willing to pay for the piece.

If you can help me out, I'll email a photo with exact location and dimensions and maybe we could do an over-sized cut to avoid our restorers friend, Mr. Murphy.

Thanks all
Larry
