If I am in gear with load on the engine I don't get a clunk so to speak. Only on changing gears and generally only if I don't match up revs just right. The dull rubber mallet thunk is about right although I think I feel it from the rear.
Gearbox is smooth, clutch is smooth car goes like a scalded ape just a bit of a mechanical thunk now and then I am not used to.
Will try to get somebody more familiar with Porsche's to give it a drive.
Its a hell of car though. Wow for "just a Carrera S" this thing moves and sticks something fierce.
