the Asus motherboard has the HDMI video output
the screen worked a day or 2 ago with the laptop which is VGA only. I can try it again I guess.
- if it works on VGA then does that imply it surely works on HDMI? I dunno what electronics are in the screen itself...
BTW - I figure if the asus is so badly built that the video driver goes out, I do not want to trust it.
I'd consider an Apple but I'd have to get all my files over and then learn a new OS & system. AZThat would take time, and time could be in very short supply and day now.
I don't even know if the Apple store can take a bare PC drive and blow the files over using a power supply & SATA hookup, tho they likely could do it.
