Customer shoots, kills suspect
JACKSONVILLE. Fla. -
When two men tried to hold up a Dollar General store on the Northside on Monday night, a customer pulled his gun and shot one of the men twice.
The second robber ran from the store and was seen leaving the scene in a SUV.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. at the store in the 1900 block of Dunn Avenue.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said when police arrived, one of the robbers was dead.
Police said the robber was shot by a man who had a concealed weapons permit who was alerted to the robbery by the store manager.
The second robber was seen wearing a blue bandana and sped east on Dunn Avenue in a small SUV.
Police are still investigating and searching for the second robber.
