I borrowed a cheap Pepboys one from one of my workmen and hooked it up to my land cruiser last year and went on our annual camping trip. I am always responsible to haul fire wood. The LC was packed up to the eyeball (wife's crap and kids). The lumber was a bunch 8/4 oak and maple scraps from my shop. it must be at least a couple of hundred lbs on that thing. I metal shimmed the hitch so the movement was down to almost none. Gorilla taped the shim so it wouldn't fall off. the rack was a bit low and was scraping or hanging up on the big dips on the dirt trails. Its an 80 series with slightly larger tires, no lift and stock.
