No way you find a decent '85 Carrera ANYWHERE for a private sale of $12.5k. For that kind of money, there is a BUNCH of stuff wrong, or it's a fire sale.
I know. I have looked for the past three years, and I'd say if you can find a 150k Carrera that looks good, runs well, has receipts and passes a PPI, then be glad if you only pay $18.5k.
