I have had many wiring issues with these cars. Cleaning the grounds usually helps things out. Sounds like you should get a new battery to do most your testing. In this case I would start at your battery and work your way though the car. Check the hot terminal at the starter and see if you have 12 volts. You should have it when the car is off. check the hot side of your fuse box and see if you have 12V there. You will need to turn the key on for this. Check the ignition terminal and see if you fried the key mechanism. Just some suggestions.
