today i was (GET THIS POO) invited to go pre-run and pit for an individual i know for their trophy truck entry in this years SCORE BAJA 1000 in november POINT TO POINT! all the way DOWN THE PENINSULA!
and we will be flying down in a jet. yeah a freeking JET! i'll say that again............A FREEKING JET! LIKE CORPORATE JET!
i am not making this poo up. i guess it pays off doing this off road crap for 35+ years(too many races to remember, honestly a blur) , pitting team honda twice under bruce olgivie with campbell/hengveld at the helm, and working at an airport and knowing something about planes(not much-joea is the pilot, but i can kick some mean tires tho and wave my arms around and carry a clipboard). thinking about this real hard and gonna talk it over with geiser bros. as its a geiser built trophy truck.
so heres a pic of the old skool racey truck..........because i'm OLD! 2013 if all goes well or 2014 NORRA 1000 here we come...........cue in solemn prayer muzak here.
p.s. a lil build info: all toob(tube) werk(engine cage/cab cage/bed cage) done by geiserbros.com since its birth 12 years ago. 383 stroker, alum radiator w/ dual electric fans, hughs performance 400 w/deep pan and tranny cooler, b&m shifter, 2 -bilsteins with nitrogen bottles per wheel, dunbar spring mega springs in rear, new detroit trutrac diffy,with new 3.73 gears yukon ring and pinon,with yukon mega zoomy axles bearings seals blah blah, brand new 44 gallon fuel safe alum fuel cell, hella lights, hella horns, RJS 5-points, fire system(big ass bottle) beards racing seats, parker pumper, lowrance GPS, hellas, 4 wheel disc brakes, has been built to the letter of SCORE RULE BOOK. its a CLASS 8 STOCK. and yes it still has A/C...........because i live on the surface of the sun here.
to do still: tear apart entire front end, rebuild according to mickey thompsons(remember him?) specs and a brand new ZZ383 CHEVY CRATE MOTOR (425HP out of the box)with MSD FUEL INJECTION. will also have dual MSD black boxes, with dual ignitions and switch in cab, custom "D" ported doug thorley headers, install radio/intercom. right now we are complete with everything at the rear end, the cab and only the front end and engine remain and some cosmetic crap. and wez ready!

laugh all ya want. it was scarey fast with the holley 800 double pumper, and we got crap mileage, so we de-tuned to a edelbrock 600. it will still scare the living poo out of ya and make ya pee yer pants as i melt the bfg's in ALL 3 GEARS on the pavement. in the dirt.............get in, hold on, and STFU!
