Superlite Cars is probably the only component car manufacturer using full-size clay modeling to create new cars. "Full-size clay models are the best way to get a feel for how the surfaces on the real car are going to look," says Fran Hall, Superlite Cars Principal. "We use CFD and extensive computer modeling in designing cars, but when it comes to actually producing a body buck, a full-sized clay studio is still the best approach."

The Superlite GTA is the latest in a line of original cars designed by Superlite, and production cars are expected to ship sometime in 2012.
