Six years ago..... its due for an optional cleaning/service anyway.
I only have my watches fixed in Switzerland since I go there on business anyway.
I have an Omega Speedmaster which was 100% restored. I havent taken it off my wrist in over a year! ( Literally, the band is actually jammed. ) Its not good for it but I know where to take it when it needs to be cleaned and adjusted. I repair my car with it on and jump in the ocean once a week. It has held up well. Flyback button is defunct, now though. Chronos / Stopwatches are more fragile than non-chrono. Get it fixed at the factory if you can Fed ex it there.
