Ground Hogs will always have more than one exit......you have to find them all. Then, drop a smoke bomb in the hole and then then block it off. If there are three holes, drop it down two of them and block them both. Leave only one one exit and stand there with either a baseball bat or a pellet gun. The holes are always at an angle so you can hide above the hole backside just be still and quiet. It will exit a bit dazed from the smoke and then kaboom you whack it.
