Here ya go Dave, the Southern Cross (on a full moon) from Porcupine Gorge National Park, Saturday night.
Last night, I had another go as the moon was a little later rising. Hmm couldn't manage to get a good photo for some reason....perhaps too much port again...

Jeff that's a lovely photo, sigh can't see anything much here because of the humidity haze, not really true, but its too bloody hot to go outside and have a look, although the moon has looked pretty sexy the last few evenings when it has just been coming up.
been finishing up reading the sons US Government assignment, bloody hell, you guys really do know how to write a Constitution, have had to read the Summer of 1787, better things to do with my time, but had to help the midget! The school didn't seem to think that not being in the USA , not being enrolled at the school, not having decided to take the AP Government class and not having a copy of the book, were not an excuses acceptable to not having to pass in the Summer Holiday Assignment, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
All done now, and damn if it doesn't look too bad, really since we have come from a Westminster System of government and this whole Democracy/ Electoral College jargon is new to us!!!! We don't have a presidency to worry about.
Anyway time for bed, still looking for a nice 80s Porsche if anyone knows a nice one, no Targa's or Convertibles, just not practical in Maryland. Night all
