You need to spring the couple of hundred bucks for a pre-purchase inspection.
No one here can tell you if it has been rebuilt from the information given.
If you like the car then have a pro help you out. A pro that also understands the weak points of the 2.7 motor. That way he can focus on those and give you some info that a huge rebuild cost is (or is not) right around the corner.
