About 5 or 6 years ago the West Coast guys started using as a flavor of the day the Win mdl 42 for Skeet and as such they just took off in price. And everything 410 followed
I bought the Browning mdl 42, which I have yet to shoot..
BTW..all the sub gauge guns have always been more pricey
