Nobody believes how expensive a 928 is to fix.
Nobody believes a nice looking 928 that runs OK, could need $15k in repairs right away.
Maybe one owner in twenty takes their 928 to a good shop and says make it like new, or give it a full service or whatever, its fix this broken thing so it runs.
Many shops (and owners) don't know how to fix a 928, and don't learn that they don't know until they break stuff.
