Problem with a double barrel or the like is that there is no noise.

When a perp hears a pump rack a shell into the chamber, they know that sound and know that its time to go somewhere else in the world.

I really do not want to shoot someone, I just want them to leave my house. A pump or auto shotgun will do this, a double barrel does not...
