Pot itself is relatively harmless, but in long term THC accumulating in brain fatty tissues isn't making him any favours. What is more alarming is relaxing the relations towards drugs. IMHO, that's dangerous as it might make it easier for him to test harder drugs. And that's the path you don't want him to take...
