While rpelacing the IMS what else would be cheap to upgrade?

Paranoid about my 1999 Carrera 4 IMS. I am going to do the LN. for a 5 to 7% fail is too high for me. My 63k engine runs great without problems.

So while they are in there, what would be the smart upgrades and replacements that would save me money? My rear shocks are not leaking but the car hits hard over even minor bumps. Bilsteing, Koni or originals?

What do you think of putting in a colder thermostat? I am told they prolong engine life.

Also, I have a motorcycle and truly believe in the power or Neodynium magnets to arrest steel before it can get to the filter even. I have three for my 911. I want to put one near my IMS, but cannot figure where would be the best location. The other locations are open for your recommendations. These magnets have 130 pounds of magnetic attraction each. When stacked, over 200 pounds of attraction force. Together they cost me 65 dollars delivered. I recommend highly.

Thanks
Franks
