I just can't shake the habit. I gota have my fix or I start to Jones...cold, clamy and jittery....until I hit the Spoon and then I get that warm fuzzy feeling of being on cloud No. 9....and what is todays fix?

I have bin looking for a nice Springfield M1 with a SN over 6M for quite sometime...about 4 years ago I ws the underbidder at 2K on a Type 1 NM Springfield M1 that had a SN over 6M. A coupla months later I saw that one go at auction for over 5K. Now this one isn't a NM, but all the late Springfield M1's were more or less special order with a large number being NM's , as the arsenal was rebuilding WW2 M1's. This one is SN 608X,XXX...with a 3/56 barrel date (Springfield arsenal ended production on the M1 in 57 in favor of the M14) ...this one appears to be straight with a posible stock sanding? . These are kind of hard to find..and prices have bin on the rise..
