Yeah, it was never intended to be anything but what it was--a Drive-in Movie movie (you ol' guys remember Drive-ins, right?) You and your date watched the movie for the first ten minutes or so then, you start the real entertainment inside the car. Windows fog up and you never actually see the movie, nor do you care. You watched just enough to provide a rough plot outline to the girl's parents so they don't become suspicious. That's how so many stupendously bad movies actually made money and for a young guy with no apartment, it's really not that bad of a flick.
