Don't think it's possible to go from micro to nano. Yes, you CAN cut down a mini to make a micro out of it but micros are so common these days (nobody still uses minis) it doesn't matter.
It looks like to "cut down" a micro you'd be cutting into the metal part to notch the corner which is potentially problematic if there's microcircuitry in there, as well as the fact that the metal sections of the SIM don't correspond to the pattern on the nano.
YMMV. Haven't tried it or needed to. I'm sticking with my 4 for a while. Maybe I'll buy the iPhone 6 when it comes out in a year or two - the 5 looks cool but not "run right out and spend another $500" cool.
