iOS 6 will give you Siri on the iPad 3, among other things. That makes it worth it for me. But I will wait a week or so to see if there will be a iOS v. 6.1 released shortly, due to battery issues, bug fixes...etc. with v. 6.0 ...
IF all is well with the new os, I also plan on upgrading my iPhone 4, though the new firmware won't make much of a difference on that phone, IMHO.
