I thought you did this for a living?
Yep, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Porsche dealer had to pay Porsche North America for that 911 Turbo S 918 Spyder Edition, and that the dealer paid tens of thousands more than $110K for it.

It is NOT gratis. Neither Porsche gmbh nor Porsche NA "gave them" to 918 buyers. The availability to order the special 911 was only for people who placed orders for the 918 Spyder. No one else could order one. But they didn't have to buy one if they didn't want to. And those cars were offered starting from $160,700. Sure the dealers could sell them for whatever they wanted, that's the law. It would be a very stupid Porsche franchised dealer that sold one for a $30K+ loss.

It is against the law to sell two cars for one stated total price, or one contract. They must be separate transactions.

But, as always, you know best
