Whoooo Hoooooo. I got to play in the garage on a real project. Yesterday as I drove home from work I noticed the AC took a long time to start blowing cold. That was strange and I made a note to myself to look into it. Then when we went to dinner the AC was acting funny. Today on my morning errand I had no AC at all.
. I got home and changed into garage clothes. It took a while but I finally discovered the dang pressure switch on the power steering was defective. A simple bypass and the AC was working. Since I am one of those folks that like things to work as designed (or better) I went to buy a replacement pressure switch. I guess every 26 years I can afford to replace it.
It will cost me 0.0001525 per mile!
My wife was wondering what I was doing and I told her I "get" to play in my garage! It sure beats having an boring appliance car. I really enjoyed testing myself and trying to figure out the problem.
