My number 2 fuse blows immediately if i plug in the seat harness underneath the passenger seat.

I have removed the external rocker/toggle part of my seat switches (with the arrows on it) the little balls, and the rocker clips that the balls sit on. Now the fuse does not blow. I have power to the internal brass square perimeter of the switch housing, but when I jump from that perimeter to one of the squares, the motors don't engage. Is there some other trick? I need to get my seat back into normal position.
