FWIW the 3 series scratched way easier than the 4 series.

My wife and I both have the 4 and after 2 years not a scratch on either one and that's without a screen protector.

Mine is always in my pocket but hers is in her pocket book bouncing around with her keys and the other bajillion useless items some women feel compelled to carry.

iPhone 4 uses a smaller SIM than the 3, you trim it with an xacto knife but I'm sure the ATT store has a punch.

And though i've never met him I'll vouch for Garrett. He's a stand up guy.
