Perhaps posting a wide body of his work would convince the naysayers.
Not that I tend to remember what I don't like first, but a few examples of what are considered his successes would help put it all in context.
In general, my impression is that he likes to open up boxes and leave you wondering about his intent. This is not the same as ambiguous or indecisive, but the thought of; "
what's the point of doing that?" While at the same time not being either offended nor excited about it is the end result.
There is an intellectual, artistic and physiological aspect to his work, but it's often answering the question nobody asked, leaving the viewer quite puzzled about all the time, energy and money spent.
The word futile comes to mind.
Foose is futile in my opinion.
