So you've got your dad's '64 Fairlane 427 that is in shambles. Foose takes the car, paints it anything but stock, puts a huge thumper under the hood with billet everything, some pumpin' stereo, a 2-tone cloth and leather interior scheme, some suspension and brake upgrades and a set of 20's with rubber bands on them.

Then he gives it back to you in front of the whole crowd. I'm sorry, but I couldn't gush over that. In fact, I'd be pissed. If I had my dad's anything, I'd want it stock or the way he had it.

Now, I don't have my dad's anything, but we do have the wife's father's old WWII Jeep which he hot rodded back in the 60's. It's got a SBC conversion. It was worse than shambles when I got it to "restore." I tried to put myself in his shoes as I went about doing the work and buying the parts. It had been through the ownership of a brother and a nephew before I got it. I took all their crap off and sold it.

As a result, my wife has her dad's Jeep. Way it should be.
