Of course Meeni, we understand. Still, if BMW can send us a water-head boxer S that only offers 142 HP and 84 foot pounds of torque...............don't you think that would be a nice bike to play on, especially if they incorporate the HP4 traction control tech into the design of this, soon to be, first water cooled boxer S? As pointed out above by Shred and others.......the HP2 Sport is no slouch.......but in my opinion, BMW..............with its new integral case (case and cylinders are all one casting) engine design, when capped with new heads of improved intake and exhaust route, twin radiator water-cooling for more consistent head and combustion temperatures, a narrower over all engine width, and the like..............have brought us a new engine platform that just begs to be performance enhanced in at least one showroom model.

BMW is going to make a "Water-cooled S" but we just don't know when us hungry buyers will get a chance to purchase. For now, however, the HP2 will always hold one record in motorcycles for offering the most powerful air-cooled engine drive train ever put in a motorcycle. Mine (#32), like all the other HP2 Sports, will pull effortlessly to a indicated 165 plus...........and still has not had the valve settings change.........so BMW knows that they better come up with something "truly great" if they want to carry on the "sport boxer" tradition from where the HP2 Sport left off.
