Wow. Good thing I filled up the 888 (all 5 gallons of it) on Sunday.
You mock with your pictures, Max, but I remember those days. Gas stations used to hang a sign out front to indicate if they were open (green) or closed (red). During rationing, there were odd and even days. If your license plate ended in an odd number, you could only buy gas on an odd-numbered day (and vice versa). People would be lined up into the street. They could only buy x number of gallons.
