Did you find black oil in the IMS tube?
I have a test on going right know with a bearing I removed that was full of oil at30,000mi. I repacked it with grease(30% full) and reinstalled it with the same seals on the same sides. It is running for the next 30,000mi. to see if it retains the grease or is full of oil. I just don't see the grease getting washed out, maybe a little diluted.... but no bearing has ever shown any grease what so ever.
