OK - That is great from a trouble shooting perspective.
You need your fuel pump to engage as a first step. You will hear it loud and clear when it kicks in. If the fuel makes it into the CIS system it will sound like a screaming witch from hell.
The red round relay closest to the driver (in the front trunk) is the FP relay but check the fuse first. On the back of the plastic cover for the trunk fuse block is a diagram of the fuses. Check that fuse. rotate it a little if it's ok.
If fuse is ok, steal one of the black relays near the front of the car and place it in the fuel pump relay socket then lift the sensor with key on. If it works, get a new red relay at your earliest convenience as the red ones have some special insulation that only allows electricity to travel in one direction (that is my layman's take) and there must be a reason for that. I will say I have driven my 81 for 100 miles with a black relay in the fuel pump relay spot but changed it out ASAP.
That may get the pump working.
Another thought if pump works (just test it long enough to establish it works) is to clean out the fuel system for common sense reasons given age. Not sure how to do this thoroughly but it reasonable to assume "stuff" will dislodge and partially clog things. Sort of a pay me now or pay me later scenario.
