Last rod I rode in, there was an intense vibration that pretty much seemed to be rising and falling with the RPM's. I asked the owner about it and he said it is the custom of many builders to just bolt the engine to the frame without the benefit of traditional motor mounts with rubber to isolate the vibration from the rest of the car.
I thought that was very strange. I don't claim to know much about rodding, but is this true?
It was extremely annoying. I couldn't imagine taking that thing on a two hour trip.
