You're a buzz-kill for sure.

There is PLENTY of evidence that the proper width/size heels will not promote physical damage/deformity. I've seen 17 year olds with bunions...it might be more genetic than adapted.

There is also PLENTY of even stronger evidence on the benefits of heels:
-more self-awareness with posture
-added agility, ankle strength, balance
-increased self-confidence/esteem.
-reduces stress
-increased happiness due to compliments from both men/women
-increased social behavior due to self-confidence.

There was a semi-recent CNN article on this.
