the deer are thick here, also. i think they
all survived the mild winter. i've seen more deer this year (and moose) than i think i've ever seen in my life, combined. really, there are that many. the division of wildlife issued extra elk and deer permits because they are afraid that the population is too big to sustain over the coming winter.
