OK. I will concede it has some really good uses. Unfortunately, I know dozens of people in my office (who see each other all day long) on FB with each other. Really? I don't need FB to have (or communicate with) friends. I visit and/or call people I know and love.
Years ago Ma Bell had a slogan that said "Long distance calling-the next best thing to being there". Today, most people think "call or visiting my friends, the next best thing to Facebooking them". Think of the people on the spaceship in the movie Wal-E. It seems like that's where humanity is headed.
