oh grasshoppers confusion say.............TT cant do it. naysayers say it no haul ass.
REALITY THEY ARE WICKED ASS SCAREY. and ser-i-azz as a heart attack. i have:
1) the drive mentally to do it.
2) the physical ability to do it
3) the money to do it(a ride not purchase the truck)
4) the GPS knowledge
5) the CONNECTIONS to do it
6) the vacation time to do it
7) the gear to do it
8) countless baja pre run hours on bike/in vehicles
but alas as BAD as i want to and can taste it, after years and years of abusing my PO BODY on dirty bikes and off road race cars, with a rear end crash whiplash incident that i felt for years, i doubt i could handle the pure insane very painful body abuse. let alone ever another catheter shoved up my schlong.
i remember 350 miles at the HDRA GOLD COAST 350, like it was yesterday and you could have poured me out of the score 1/2-1600 like i was molassass. i pissed blood for days after that one. that was one nasty azz gnarly race that beat me into submission for an entire day/night. and any race in nevada is known for its sheer brutality and terrain . been too countless mint 400's and its no different just more crazy drunk people out on the course. and baja is WORSE!
it is a very young mans sport. and i am old enuff, done it enuff, seen it enuff, that i wouldnt want to be a BURDEN to any of the TT teams if called upon to co-dawg or drive and have my back turn to jello.
this IS SCORE INTL racing, not a damn bit different than indy/nascar/offshore power boats. ser-i-azz money/time/effort/HORSEPOWER/technology/SUSPENSION. one clown here wrote years ago about a hummer ride with rod hall for a few miles. well trust me kiddies a giant lead sled PIG of a hummer AINT a TROPHY TRUCK nor a CLASS 1 car! and thats a fact.
NORRA 1000 is for us old skoolers and its spread out over 3 days. mexicali to lapaz. thats what we are shooting for with my class 8 chebbie.
if all werks out i will be flying down for this years 45th BAJA 1000 with a TT team to pit and chase. and eat tacos. maybe uno corona.
