Apparently it is a texting scam where they send you a text and if you don't respond 'stop', they automatically charge your cell phone carrier account.
How can that possibly work? Send random text = profit?
It seems there's a lot of scams like this, where they charge small amounts, hoping you won't notice; the sheer volume of people who don't must be making someone millions.
And why must everything be "opt-out" instead of "opt-in?" I just re-fi'd, and my all my various financial info will be sold to every ham-and-egger unless I find them all and opt-out.
