I'd really like to know the business plan for getting ad revenue. I have never even thought of clicking on an ad I saw on FB. I hate them and wish there were a way to block them. Who clicks on these? Advertisers might get visibility, but I don't see how any company really expects click-thrus on FB ads. Google is a different ballgame because it replaced the Yellow Pages, where people went when they were ready to buy. No one goes to FB to look for stuff to buy. They go there for other things, so ads distract them. I just don't see FB changing this. There's definitely some value in having an ad on a site with the kind of traffic FB gets. But the click-thru rates have to be dismal.
