Mark...then there is the game itself. Fascinating and maddening with so many levels of play to try to reach. I've been working at it for quite some time, still consider myself just a recreational banger with rather rudimentary control over cue ball placement. But then I didn't begin to get serious about the game until I was in my late 50's...too late in life to become really good, able to hang with masters. Matt is in his mid 30's now...he's been playing seriously, really working on his game, for over 20 years.

You can buy a fast car and be fast at the track. The old "how fast do you want to spend?" Has a lot of truth in it. In pool, it's the indian, not the arrow. Tho most of the top level indians have some awfully straight arrows.
