Yeah, extreme emotion is excused but not assaulting a cop. Even though it was a woman and he was not really in danger of being hurt by her, she had a set of handcuffs coming. Her excuse that she did not know who was grabbing her doesn't add up. It was broad daylight and a whole bunch of uniforms was pushing her back.
When firefighters or the police are doing their job, you don't jump in front of them unless you want to go down hard.
