But like hell you should come down on the cops. Those guys are on the street everyday, facing injury or worse. There have to be lines in the sand. And I think a pretty firm line is, "You do not strike a police officer. Period." Cops put up with enough schit. They shouldn't be expect to be human punching bags. They're human beings.

I think it's this. Sure maybe there is some absolute Ghandi like cop somewhere that you can slap and he'll just let it go, but that's a little bit unreasonable. He is under stress as well. If you think it's easy dealing with a hysterical woman, you've never done it.
