Started spitting rain here in eastern PA at around 5:00 this evening. Currently it's dry out with some wind blowing a little - maybe 15-20 mph at the surface. I'm getting out of here early (in a few hours) to head south towards Roanoke, maybe even a little further but I think that'll be okay insofar as getting out of harm's way. Looking at the precipitation maps I'm really glad I'll be south/west of this thing rather than north of it. Best wishes for folks in NJ especially who are going to get whacked. I hope there aren't too many left without power in NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME, PA, etc. We seriously need better electrical distribution infrastructure in the northeast. It's really terrible how every time there's a storm so many people encounter disruptions. Best to all!!!
