I could get it overhauled in a heartbeat here in Phoenix, so hoping that you have the same sort of places over there in LA. I have a place here called "Jacks Inc" and thats all they do. $40 and your hyd ram is overhauled and back in action.
Do a search for "Hyd jack repair" and see what you come up with.
