Calling Landcruiser fans

I am wondering if any of the LC pelicans can provide a bit of insight on my dilema. My 90 FJ62 radiator sprung a leak. I order a replacement from Radiator barn and confirmed twice that I had the correct PN from the manufacturer. I tore down the front end and removed the rad from the rig. Yesterday the new rad showed up and it is completely different. The new rad is wider than the exisitng and none of the mounting brackets/bolts or even the fan shroud line up. Additonaly, the inlets for the tranny lines are hardlines on the new rad while on the rad I yanked out they are female threaded holes. I re-verified that I had ordered the correct radiator for a 90 FJ62(and even cross-refernced the radiator with other supply houses). In digging through the various LC forums/mud sites, It appears that the radiator which I removed is an FJ80 rad. I guess the PO possibly changed radiators for some reason . Instead of registering and posting to yet another forum, I thought I may ask the LC fans here. Does anyone know if the photo below is an FJ80 rad? (This is the one I removed) If so, anyone know the advantage of doing this swap-(greater efficency possibly?)My rig does have an aluminum fan. Many thanks.
