Consider doing a desmog if you can get away with it in your area. It made a night and day difference in the performance and drivability of the 3FE in my FJ80. I believe the USA was the only market that received that pathetic afterthought of an emissions system.
BTW, iH8Mud is the only BBS that is the equal of Pelican as far as technical know-how, at least that I have encountered. It is a huge resource for a Land Cruiser owner. If you are not a member you should be.
