For a sweet-shifting 915 here's what I'd recommend:
1) Replace 3 shifter linkgage bushings (ball cup, shift rod bracket, and shift joint). Search for Ed's shifter bushing (ivangene here on the board) and you'll get the idea. PP sells a kit with all 3 bushings for $22.
6) If you want the extra protection and confident 'snick-snick' feel of a shifter that is spring-loaded in the 3-4 plane (I do), consider the Seine Systems shifter kit. Probably the best $150 I've ever spent on anything automotive.

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things. Unless something has changed, the bushings our host sells are not Ed's bushings. The Seine GSK adds spring loading in the 1-2 plane. 3-4 is the neutral plane. Minor nit... just didn't want to confuse anyone. But overall, Ed's bushing plus the Seine GSK is fantastic.
