My wife loves going to the movies, we found a local theater that has $4 movies Tuesdays and Thursdays so we have date night every other week...
We are on a tight budget.
I love going out to eat but she freaks at the cost... she breaks down and we go out to a nice restaurant about twice a month.
Also try to go on a modest one week vacation once a year.
