Its not very difficult (I do it!  ) and the key points are, look on the ground at the wind-sock and land into the wind. When you get about 20 feet from the ground slowly pull the raiser handles (the brakes) and you will ease onto the ground.
The instructors will teach you this and radio or not, as long as you do this you will be fine.
